Next stop....Yalta...

Sunday mornign here in Kiev. We're getting ready to leave in a few hours for the next and perhaps longest leg of our journey. Had one last great dinner last nite. Not quite as festive as Saturday night, hence the lack of enthusiastic phone calls. We're as rested as can be. The train ride will take 10 hours, overnite. At least we have a 1st class sleeping car. Can't wait to see the Ukraininan version of first class. We'll get into Simferopol early Monday morning, a round of paperwork and then to meet Natalia, the younger sister. We hope they will let Lisa's father video our meeting. There will be so much to do in the next 3 weeks. We will try to keep all posted on whats happening as it unfolds. Yalta is a nicer, more upscale area then Kerch, where Victoria's orphange is, so we hpe Internet access might be easy as well. Keep the comments coming...your words, thoughts and good vibes are keeping us going at this end. That and the 3rd season of Everybody Loves Raymond......good bye for now. We all send our love back to the states.

Love

Matt and Lisa

Matt and Lisa, Got your phone call the other day during practice. I was baffled by the phone number for a while. Your message sounded so positive and I wish everything works out more easily than you expect. The two girls sound great. I think you are probably meeting them as I am typing this third period in HHHS on Monday. OH NO, I just saw your sub getting dragged through the halls by you period three class. I think he was duct taped as well. Only Kidding - everything is fine - the students are even saying he is a better teacher than you and at least he wears socks in the winter. Out for now - I'm not sure if I should call you cell, but if you want call me when things settle down a bit. How's the golf scene out their.

Hi you guys--Sciulla was nice enough to help me access this thing. Finally. I'm still not sure whether it's better to write here or directly to the lisasicilian e-mail account.

Anyway...hi...so excited about the next leg of your journey. By now you've met the girls....I can't wait to hear all about that. It was so nice to talk to you guys the other day...glad you're enjoying the adventure...and the vodka.

All here is fine. Chris seems to be enjoying your classes, Matt, and despite Sciulla's post, they seem to be behaving for him. Warren is driving us all insane with this faculty/student fundraiser volleyball game. I think he's dressing in a little elf outfit and he promises that Sophia will prance about in her tiarra...kidding, Lisa, Mike is not bringing your baby to the high school. God forbid she get her little paws dusty in this place. Well, time to run. Thinking of you both often...and hoping that everything happens as it should. I just know it will. Larry sends his best.

Call when you can.
Enjoy...be safe.
xoxo
